OIL
Oil is a very useful material and that is one of the reasons why the thar desert is so rich! They found out that they had oil in 1988.
WIND POWER
The Thar desert doesn't have many trees so wind flows through the desert easily. This help any wind power sources to get what they need. Safe on the environment and useful for all those around.
SODIUM CHLORIDE
In the thar desert there are many salt water lakes, where they use the salt water to produce sodium chloride. So the next time you use sodium chloride, think "did this come from the Thar desert?"
